On Monday 21st November, Welfare Park will host the Northern Counties SFA League fixture between Northumberland U18 and Durham U18 in the Derek Watson Memorial Trophy.

'People had the misconception that the trip was all about playing a couple of matches. It was a lot more than that. In what has been billed as the pick of the North East FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round ties, Bedlington Terriers make the short journey to Croft Park, Blyth to face the cup specialists Blyth Spartans.

Bedlington Terriers today continued their impressive goalscoring streak disposing of Billingham Town in the FA Cup Preliminary Round by a score of 6-0. Bedlington had the lead in the first half through an impressive goal from Dean Douglas but were unable to add a second until the second half when Shandran bagged another. Ian Graham made the score 3-0 before Steven Richardson came on and within seconds used his first touch to round the keeper and score, only to follow up a few minutes later with a stunning strike from distance over the keeper with his next touch of the ball. Shandran then added the 6th to give himself a personal tally of 11 goals in 3 games.
Bedlington will face the winner of Newcastle Benfield or South Shields who drew 1-1 today. The match will be replayed at South Shields on Tuesday 6th September. The match will be played on Saturday 17th September at Welfare Park which means the home league fixture against Newcastle Benfield will be rearranged for later in the season.
The reserves were however beaten 3-1 away to Red House Farm in the Alliance earlier. They will be looking to get back into winning ways when they travel to Cullercoats on Saturday 10th September in teh Alliance League Cup.
Saturday sees the visit of Billingham Town to Welfare Park in the FA Cup Preliminary Round for Non League Day. The event to attract more football fans into the non league scene. With the England match taking place on Friday and the Premier League and Championship programme taking the weekend off, fans are urged to come out and support their local sides this Saturday.

Terriers tonight were defeated by the division new boys Newton Aycliffe 1-0 on the road. The only goal of the game was a move finished by Broom after 62 minutes.
Saturday sees the visit of Stokesley to Welfare Park with a 3pm kick off.
The building work for the scoreboard is progressing well. The control building is nearly completed while the foundations for the actual scoreboard are now in place.

Today saw the opening matches of the season for both the senior team and the reserve side. The seniors hosted South Shields at Welfare Park and emerged victorious with a 4-2 win, the same scoreline as the opening game last season away to the same side. The reserves opened their campaign in the Alliance Division 2 with a 3-0 defeat at Swalwell with Rogan x2 and Bell scoring the goals for the home side.

On the second day of the trip to Buffalo, the Bedlington Terriers squad and officials held their first training session.
After putting the side through their paces, there was a visitield, to Coca-Cola Field, home of Buffalo Bisons.
The Bisons scoreboard was advertising the upcoming FC Buffalo vs Bedlington Terriers match.
We were then invited into guided tour of the stadium, including the changing rooms and a walk on the pitch to experience the ground and the facilities!
Today is now the first day of our trip the to US. We had a long journey with the transport to Heathrow, flight to Toronto, customs for the party and coach to the hotel.
We were greeted by a fantastic welcome party at the hotel which was arranged by Richs. A big thank you for making the trip happen and welcoming us!

Bedlington Terriers are delight to announce they will become the first STL Northern League team to embark on an international tour to the USA.
The tour includes playing fixtures against National Premier Soccer League sides Erie Admirals and FC Buffalo in the Lord Bedlington Cup as well as taking part in training clinics at local schools.

Bedlington Terriers are delighted to announce the signing of former football league player Chris Lumsden.
Chris has recently been forced to retire from the full time game due to a back injury but feels his body will be suited for the training and travel involved with the club.
Having started his career at Sunderland, loan spells at Blackpool, Crewe Alexandra and Barnsley, a loan deal which was made permanent at a cost of £350,000. A Transfer in 2004 saw him move back to the area to Carlisle United where he made 161 league appearances for the club before joining Darlington in 2009. Injuries prevented him playing to his full potential which ultimately resulted in his retirement in July 2010 from the full time game.
Bedlington terriers are delighted to announce the formation of a new supporters club. The new club will by led by Terry Brown, a local resident and long time supporter of the club who is looking to get the supporters more active in working in partnership with the club to raise the profile of the football club and improve relations between the supporters and committee.
Terry is seeking volunteers to help assist him in the running of the supporters club and will be arranging initial forums to allow supporters to put their views to the club.

Bedlington Terriers game on Saturday saw the first penalty shoot out for the Friends of Gallagher Park trophy. The competition was organised by Northumbria Police as part of the ‘Not in My Neighbourhood’ campaign and was hailed a huge success in its inaugural year.

ASHINGTON missed the opportunity to become the early pacesetters in the Northern League Division One when they finished well beaten in yesterday’s local derby at Bedlington Terriers, who claimed their first points to move off the bottom.
JOINT managers Tony Lowery and Keith Perry are confident a frenetic close season of transfer activity will lead to a big improvement in Bedlington Terriers’ fortunes.
The pair worked wonders last season when they returned to the club at Christmas with relegation from the Northern League First Division staring the Terriers in the face.
Bedlington Terriers Football Club are on the lookout for a club sponsor. This will include having the company name on the front of the team shirts and on all official stationery.
Bedlington Terriers Football Club held their AGM at the clubhouse last Thursday and it was an encouraging turnout from supporters and local residents, which chairman David Holmes went on record to thank so many for people giving their time. A number of topics were discussed including the progress made in the two years since David Holmes took over the club as chairman and as a result of his hard work and commitment, he was unanimously voted to remain as chairman. It was confirmed that Graeme Redpath had resigned from the club and subsequently, the position of club president was now vacant.......
